The comical Poodle cut was originally intended to aid the dog’s swimming abilities. The poms were left to keep their joints warm. — Get Fuzzy Day-To-Day Calendar, October 1, 2008

The universe works in mysterious ways. Case in point…
You know when you learn a new word and suddenly other people start using the word or it turns up in conversations you overhear? Yeah, that happens to me a lot.
So lately it’s been happening to me with a particular video game. Yeah, I’m a huge geek. I’ll fly that flag proudly. Recently, a couple friends of gotten to me to join the “online sensation” (South Park reference…anyone?!) World of Warcraft. Now I’ve only been playing about a week but I’ve overheard one conversation in Starbucks about the game and I saw a woman playing it in Panera. Before this week, the only time I’ve heard or seen mention of the game is when I’m partaking in games related media. Alas, it appears the Universe has struck again. Ok, it’s probably just that I’m more aware of the subject now. But I prefer to think it’s some mysterious force. It’s just more fun that way.
Oh, and as a side note, if you enjoy South Park and have even the slightest predilection towards gaming, you NEED to see the Emmy award-winning “Make Love Not Warcraft” episode. Pure Genius!

For the web geeks out there (of which I proudly place myself in their ranks). An interesting read on web standards and the horror that they are.
Don’t try to guess someone’s email address. Unless you’re on a closed network, a la a corporate intranet, you’ll usually be wrong.
If you use the microwave and open the door before the timer runs out. Please clear the timer. Yeah, it’s only an extra button to press when I come along to use it, but it’s only an extra button to press before you walk away. See what I’m getting at…?
